Welcome onboard!

Thank you for supporting our wildlife monitoring programs.

Read carefully the information below:

Naturalist - Science & Tourism is the only company in the Azores founded by researchers from the University of Lisbon and Azores. With an academic background and working in Tourism, linked to a University (MARE-start up Universidade de Lisboa) our ocean and land expeditions are guided by Biologists, researchers or specialized guides and 10% of each ticket goes towards our scientific research.

We Believe that Sustainable Tourism must monitor the species and habitats they visit regularly. So once onboard, university researchers will share insights, making this expedition unique from standard Whale Watching.

We operate a zodiac boat, so children under 5, pregnant women, and passengers with health issues cannot board. Tours depend on ocean conditions and may be rescheduled in case of bad weather. Before each trip, we provide information on all species observed in the Azores.
